Sapa Trekking Day Itinerary – Sa Seng, Hang Da & Hau Thao Villages A scenic one-day trekking adventure through mountain trails, ethnic villages, and breathtaking rice terraces in the Muong Hoa Valley. Experience authentic Black Hmong culture, stunning views of Fansipan, and peaceful rural life. ... 09:00 – Our friendly local guide and driver will pick you up directly at your accommodation in Sapa. After a short briefing, we begin a gentle 1km uphill walk along a scenic mountain trail. After around one hour of moderate trekking, we reach the top of Sa Seng Mountain. From here, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of: ✔️ Fansipan Peak (3,143m) – the highest mountain in Indochina ✔️ The entire Sapa town and Muong Hoa Valley ✔️ Endless terraced rice fields and river landscapes The trail then continues downhill toward Hang Da Village, home of the Black Hmong ethnic people. Along the way, you may encounter buffaloes, pigs, and horses freely roaming — an essential part of local daily life. 12:00 – Enjoy a delicious home-style lunch at a family-run local restaurant, offering a true taste of Hmong hospitality. After lunch, we continue trekking to Hau Thao Village, another peaceful Black Hmong community nestled in the mountains. Depending on the season, you may witness rice planting or harvesting, providing insight into traditional farming practices. Our guide will share fascinating stories about Hmong culture, including: ✔️ Marriage traditions ✔️ House-building techniques ✔️ Rice cultivation and daily village life 15:30 – Finish the trek in Giang Ta Chai Village, where our vehicle will be waiting. 16:00 – Transfer back to Sapa town.
