Cat Ba Deep-Water Soloing (Deep Water Solo / Psicobloc) Adventure Experience world-class deep-water soloing in Lan Ha Bay with expert guides, basket boat transfers, safety support, and options for both morning and afternoon tide schedules. ... DEEP-WATER SOLOS OVERVIEW Let's try your hand at deep-water soloing here in Cat Ba – we have the best conditions in Southeast Asia. The combination of large tidal changes and magnificent limestone cliffs makes Lan Ha Bay the perfect climbing location. Head out into the bay on one of our basket boats, armed with nothing but your climbing shoes and chalk. Our expert guides take you to the best areas, helping you safely onto the rock and giving you advice on the route as you solo up the limestone cliffs. If you're a nervous climber, that's okay – deep-water soloing allows you to push your boundaries. Just jump when you don't want to go any higher or when you reach the top, whichever comes first. At the beginning of the tour, our guides will set you off on an easy, low climb to start building your confidence. Your guide will then progressively give you the options of harder and taller climbs to try out. The rest of your group will encourage you from the basket boat. You can climb as much or as little as you like during your time. If you fancy a rest, just chill out, sit back and take in the view, or jump into the refreshing waters from the boat for a swim. MORNING TIDES ITINERARY 08:00 - Meet at our office to check in 08:15 - Leave the office and arrive on boat 09:00 - Transfer to a smaller boat and head to the first wall 10:30 – Cruise to the second wall and conquer some more climbs 12:00 - Enjoy a delicious traditional Vietnamese lunch on the boat 13:00 - Back to our office. End of tour AFTERNOON TIDES ITINERARY 11:00 - Meet at our office to check in 11:15 - Leave the office and arrive on the boat 12:00 - Traditional Vietnamese lunch 13:00 - Transfer to a smaller boat and head to the first wall 14:30 - Cruise to the second wall and conquer some more climbs 16:30 - Finish the final climbs and get back to the LA junk boat for sunset 17:15 - Arrive back at our office.
