Board the train and begin a journey through diverse landscapes, passing through the countryside, the iconic Hai Van Pass, and lush mountains. Arrive at Lang Co station in Hue and hop aboard a comfortable bus heading straight to the city's prime attraction, the Citadel. Step back in time as you hear stories about the last dynasty of Vietnam. Wander through the vast complex which contains the Imperial City, the Forbidden Purple City, and the Emperor's private residence, discovering architectural masterpieces like temples, pavilions, gardens, and historic city gates. Have lunch with local specialties at a restaurant. After lunch, depart to Thien Mu Pagoda, an active Buddhist monastery. Admire its 7-story pagoda, the unofficial symbol of the city, located on the bank of the poetic Perfume River. Continue to the serene Khai Dinh Royal Tomb, the final resting place of a Nguyen Emperor. The tour guides spoke very well English and provided information throughout the day and at each stop. Besides they were very friendly, caring and funny. Also the bus ride was very good.
