3-Day Ha Giang Jeep Loop – Off-the-Beaten-Path Adventure
Leave the crowded tourist trails behind and embark on an unforgettable 3-day adventure through the majestic mountains of Ha Giang. Travel in a classic military-style open-air Jeep with a local driver, winding through dramatic mountain passes, visiting ethnic minority villages, and experiencing authentic northern Vietnamese culture at every turn.
From the jaw-dropping views of Ma Pi Leng Pass to the peaceful rice terraces of Du Gia, this journey is perfect for adventurous travelers who want comfort, style, and a deep connection with the land and people of Ha Giang. ...
DAY 1: Ha Giang – Quan Ba – Yen Minh – Dong Van
After breakfast, start the loop in a classic military-style open-air Jeep. Drive through Pac Sum Pass and stop at Quan Ba Heaven’s Gate for panoramic mountain views and the famous Twin Fairy Peaks.
Visit Nam Dam, a traditional Tay ethnic village, then continue along the winding Tham Ma Pass. Stop at Sung La Valley, a peaceful village known from the movie The Story of Pao.
Explore the Hmong King’s Palace, a unique historical and architectural site.
Arrive in Dong Van Old Town in the late afternoon. Check in to a cozy homestay or hotel, enjoy a local-style dinner, and spend the night in Dong Van.

DAY 2: Dong Van – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Meo Vac – Du Gia
Drive along Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of Vietnam’s most legendary mountain roads. Stop at panoramic viewpoints overlooking the Nho Que River and the spectacular Tu San Canyon.
If your visit coincides with market day, explore the colorful Meo Vac local market. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
Continue through peaceful backroads via Meo Vac – Mau Due – Lung Ho to Du Gia Village.
Arrive in Du Gia, surrounded by rice terraces and mountains. Optional swim at the natural waterfall near the village (weather permitting).
Enjoy dinner and cultural exchange with a local host family. Overnight at a quiet homestay.

DAY 3: Du Gia – Lung Tam Village – Ha Giang → Hanoi
Begin the scenic drive back to Ha Giang. Stop at Lung Tam Village, famous for traditional Hmong textile weaving run by local women.
Cross Pac Sum Pass once more, enjoying the final mountain views.
Have lunch in Ha Giang City, then rest at our office before continuing your journey to Hanoi or other destinations.
